WHERE THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS BEGINS

Engineering

Understanding the full scope of what our customers are trying to achieve, and delivering an accurate print for their needs is what makes Diamond Metal Products one of the finest team of engineers in the industry.

Our engineers bring with them decades of experience and have the authoritative knowledge to recommend the best processes, materials and finishes to produce a top quality product.

CAD Print icon

If you don't have an engineer on staff, we can assist you every step of the way.

We understand how crucial it is to prepare a precise print layout since even an error as small as one-thousandths of an inch off will result in a rejected part. If the engineer does not get the prints right from the start, there are guaranteed problems throughout the production.

The key to a quality end-product is thorough analysis and precise calculations during the development of your product prints, and with a 99.9% success rate for producing accurate prints, our team of skilled engineers are qualified to deliver a quality end-product.

Verified Print

In some cases, you may not need a print designed by us.

If you have an engineer on staff and are simply looking for a production partner, we are happy to receive your existing prints.

We'll provide an additional layer of verification and peace of mind before it hits our production floor, saving everyone time and money.

Reverse engineering iconDo you have a part with no prints?

Not only are we experts in engineering a product from the ground up, but we are also capable of reverse engineering.

Bring us your part(s), and we will measure it, reconstruct it as a 3D model, and provide a print back to you with your completed parts.

We have multiple up-to-date CAD software that we use, including, but not limited to the following:

  • SolidWorks®
  • GibbsCAM®

Precision Metal Fabrication

Since 1983, our customers have relied on us to produce their precision metal products.

They come to us because we are fully equipped with a comprehensive catalog of metalworking services, from laser cutting and CNC machining, to grinding and welding.

Each part that goes through the metal fabrication process also goes through a quality inspection to ensure that every single piece of metal output is compliant with ISO 9001 and our quality assurance guidelines.

Metal fabrication services range from low-volume prototype to high-volume production runs.

Laser Cutting

Laser cutting is a technology that uses a laser beam to cut materials by directing the output of a high power laser at the material to be cut.

Laser cutting is best suited for 2D designs with multiple radius' and irregular shapes. Laser parts generally remain flat and burr free with minimal heat distortion.

We are capable of running "Lights Out" operations.

This process provides increased throughput with automated, high-speed cutting and optimum positioning accuracy.

  • Eliminate costly tooling charges
  • Quicker turnaround
  • Transfer various file formats directly into our laser program

  • Our two Strippit LVD lasers are backed by 4,000 Watt resonators

  • The cutting tolerances are as close as ± .003" and repeatability as close as ± .001"

  • Stainless steel, steel, aluminum and spring steel are highly suitable for laser cutting

  • Our Laser machines can accommodate a host of materials, material thicknesses and sheet dimensions:

    •   Steel    up to 3/4" thick

    •  Aluminum   up to 3/8" thick

    •  Stainless Steel    up to 1/2" thick

Eliminates Metal-On-Metal Contact

Water Jet Cutting

Our water jet cutting services offer a cost-effective and on-demand solution for your metals manufacturing needs.

By using a waterjet for cutting, we can achieve amazing accuracy without metal-on-metal contact for precise results that avoid heat damage and inaccuracies.

Water jet cutting uses a high pressure stream of water (60,000 psi) and can contain abrasive particles.

It will produce reasonably good edges, no burrs and eliminates the need for a secondary finishing process.

An important benefit of the water jet is the ability to cut material without interfering with the material's inherent structure as there is no "heat-affected zone" or HAZ. Minimizing the effects of heat allows metals to be cut without harming or changing intrinsic properties (distortion).

Our water jet cutting has incredible accuracy down to 0.015"

Water jet cutting can be used on a variety of materials, and we can accommodate all types of metal.

  • Cuts up to 8" thick
  • Pieces up to 6' x 12'
